Rock Fort Temple This monmuent, which can be seen for miles around, stands on top of a massive outcrop of rock, 83 meters high and 437 steps cut into the rock lead up to the Vinayaka Temple built at its highest point.

Srirangam This is a picturesque island ringed by the river Cauvery, and also a fascinating temple town. This superb temple complex is probably the largest in India. The Sreerangam temple has 21 magnificent towers which were built around the 13th and 14th centuries and is surrounded by 7 walls.
