Brihadeeshwara Temple
Built in the early Dravidian
Style, the Brihadeeshwara temple has an enormous Sri vimana - a tower
over its main sanctum that is 66.5km high. The monolithic granite block
on top of the tall temple tower weighs 82 tonnes. This wall structure
is a tribute to the genius of Chola architects and builders.
